How we use analytics
A short, plain-English note about what we measure when you visit a Shopiza shop.
What we measure
When you visit a shop on Shopiza we record the URL you visit, your country (from your IP address), your device type (desktop / mobile / tablet), the page you came from, and how long you spend on the page. We do NOT record your name, email, password, or any other personal information.
What we do with your IP address
We never store your full IP address. At the moment we receive your request, we truncate it to a /24 prefix (e.g. 198.51.100.0 instead of 198.51.100.42) so we cannot identify a single visitor. After 30 days we coarsen further to a /16. The full IP never reaches our database.
No cross-site tracking
Our analytics are first-party only. We do not load Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, TikTok Pixel, or any other third-party tracker by default. Shop owners can opt in to those separately, gated by a consent banner. We never sell or share your data.
Do Not Track / Global Privacy Control
If your browser sends a Do Not Track (DNT) header or a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we record nothing — not even an anonymous pageview.
How long we keep this data
Raw event records (one row per pageview) are deleted after 90 days. Aggregated daily counters (no individual records) are kept for 5 years so shop owners can compare year-over-year traffic.
